Goooooooooooooood morning!
Corinne here coming at ya with a fun challenge.
Everyone has their own favorite products or techniques that they use over and over again. For me those are Thickers from American Crafts, doodling with a white or black pen, Paintdabbers from Ranger and using small stickers and embellishments from different manufacturers.
Now I also have a few things that I hardly ever use. Like, for instance, a die-cut machine - well... kind of like any machinery in my case :) - which includes my mom's sewing machine. I gave it a try a long time ago, but after breaking two needles and ruining a few lay-outs I called it quits.....until today.
I challenged myself to use the sewing machine on a lay-out. This time I started by actually reading the instruction book before I got started. Although I had to try a few time to see how it worked, I soon got the hang of it and even started to have fun with it!
As you can see I sewed on the photo, cardstock, fabric and I peeled the fabric of the fabric chipboard Thickers to sew them as well, but the last one was not a success. It almost ruined my lay-out, so please do not try that at home kids!
So go, make a lay-out or a project with something you normally wouldn't use. This can be pens to start doodling if you are a simple scrapper or start some serious journaling if you aren't doing this normally on your lay-outs. Think outside your box.
Go, go, go and have fun, you will be surprised on how much fun it actually is!
